  • Check-in to class via Wodify
  • Eat a small, balanced, nutritious snack 30 minutes to 1 hour before
  • Wear comfortable clothes & athletic shoes that will allow a wide range of motion
  • Arrive on time and be prepared to do a complete warm up
  • Remember to bring your water and a sweat towel
  • If you have a significant injury or physical condition that requires modification of certain exercises, remind us when you arrive to make sure the workout is adjusted appropriately
  • VERY IMPORTANT! Protect yourself. We will do our best to modify the WODs to meet your specific needs. However, you know your body better than anyone else. WHEN IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT OUT!  We want you to push yourself and break through new barriers, but we depend on your judgment to complement our instruction.
  • After the WOD, take time to complete the stability and flexibility exercises correctly. This time in the workout session is important to injury prevention and recovery.
  • When finished, cheer on and congratulate those around you on their great efforts.

Competitors Class

Who is The Program for? Those who would like to represent CrossFit Salus to compete in local CrossFit competitions and The CrossFit Games Open. This and the Olympic Weightlifting classes will be the only options we will offer that will allow for two training sessions on those days.

Anyone interested must meet these 2 criteria:

1) RX almost if not all WODs in terms of movement standards and can do most all of the advanced skills to some degree. Pistols, HSPU, Muscle ups will be the only movements allowed to be scaled and only to a small degree.

2) Athlete should be capable of or very close to meeting the following strength standards. Deadlift 2x bodyweight, Clean 1x bodyweight, Shoulder Press 0.75x bodyweight, Squat 1.5x bodyweight

We have a strong pool of athletes here- anyone who fits the above criteria can and is encouraged to attend, not just people who are currently “in competition season”. The Competitor’s class will be an awesome addition for competitors in and out of season.
