All beginners must start here. These basic training classes will prepare you for the WODs and teach you how to move correctly to prevent injuries. After you complete all of the basic training classes, you may participate in any CrossFit workout.

The emphasis of the basic training classes is on skill development and exposure to basic movements. It is designed to prepare you to enter our ongoing group CrossFit classes. We are going to be hammering technique—both to ensure your safety—and success for the next level.


We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity.

We will show you all movements from the relatively non technical (such as the pushup and squat) to the more technical (such as the deadlift and snatch).

It’s important that you are here for every session as these movements build on one another. There will be a workout at the end of each session which will get progressively more challenging as the course progresses.

The difficulty of these workouts is ultimately in your hands…the degree that you push yourself is individualized.

The class is called basic training for a specific reason… it is critical to begin with the basics before you ramp up the level of intensity.

Shifts in body composition are one of the most motivating ways to measure success. We highly encourage you to take “before” pictures at the beginning of your journey.
